Klein Olyvenbosch is situated outside Wellington in the Western Cape, nestled on the slopes of the picturesque Hawequa mountain.
A small portion on the farm has been dedicated to an olive orchard with varieties including Frantoio and Mission, both with their own unique flavour and oil profile.
The first olive oil produced and bottled from Klein Olyvenbosch was pressed in 2011 and production continues annually with total volumes sourced from neighbouring small farmers.
Klein Olywenbosch also boasts a private botanical garden, established in 2005 on a rocky slope under old wild olive trees. The garden is ever changing and evolving due to uncertain environmental factors and climatic conditions, but through smart low key irrigation intervention, it has continued to grow.
